We now work in a bar.
17.04.2012

Right. As I mentioned in the previous post - we’ve moved into Stattbad. Our studio used to be the swimming club member’s bar, which explains the big tiled thing in the middle of the room. We’re just beginning renovations now, so here is a “before” picture. Expect “after” pictures soon(ish)…

Peaks & Troughs
09.04.2012

We know the blog has been quiet recently, but it’s good news - it means we’ve been crazy busy with all sorts of projects. We’ve also moved the whole team to a new studio at Stattbad, but alas no time for renovations yet.  Easter brings no break, in fact we’re all putting in every bit of our collective energy to complete a mega set for an off the wall fashion film, shooting starts Tuesday. Without giving too much away here’s a sneaky peak at our recents efforts…

See you after the shoot!

Citizen Promo
14.12.2011

We teamed up with Robin Bushell of Treat Studios to make a  giant 3 x 3 meter stopframe animation of an origami bird folding for Citizen, an international PR company.

Here still on the ground…

… it was going to be lifted via a construction on the ceiling…

…. whilst being turned on a plynth.

Not exactly the easiest task.

So, there was a lot of thinking involved…

…and more thinking.

No idea what would have happened if we didn’t have Chi-san to keep us sane (and fed).

A nice moment  when after three full-on days we were finished.

With huge thanks to everyone involved, including Goon and especially Luke (not pictured here)!

All The World’s A Page
12.12.2011

Being invited by Blotto to make a viral film for their entire-book-on-one-poster was great fun.

We mapped out the coordinates of the poster.

With Christophe we filmed the “book” with a microscopic camera attached to a CNC / Lasercutterthingy so we could plot the coordinates to 0,2 mm exactness. Yep. Pretty exact.

That’s Christophe on the control switchboard.

Here is what it looked like filming it.

This is Kito hotwiring our robot.

Maiden voyage of fully functioning robot.

Rigging the robot.

And the Mani-Shot.

And this is what it looked like in the end.

Being invited to do a poster for a show featuring Wolfgang Tillmans, Pierre Bismuth, Karl Holmqvist, Zin Taylor and others was a great honour and it was fun to have our cheap poster next to Tillmans golden gong.

Great show curated by Dieter Roelstraete at Galerie Micky Schubert in Berlin, February - May 2011

Sacred Heart Never-zine
06.12.2011

This project never really took off, we got about 2 spreads past these cover sketches before someone pulled the plug. Jesus didn’t want it. Shame, could have been a nice job.

While one half of us is here in berlin, holding the fort, doing the real work - the other half is ‘working’ in Miami. Looks real tough there Johannes…

skype. 13.50 Miami time

19.50 cold dark wet Berlin time.
